Ashley Penn may be one of the smallest players on the field, but she plays with the confidence and impact of someone twice her size. Small but mighty, I like to say. She is an absolute firecracker who attacks with speed, purpose, and tremendous lacrosse IQ. Penn's footwork allows her to create separation in tight spaces, and once she gets her hands free, her shot placement is exceptional. Time after time, she buried shots into the corners with impressive power and accuracy. Just as impressive is her decision-making, knowing exactly when to push the tempo in transition and when to settle the offense. She was outstanding all day, showing up in many different ways, whether it was at "X" or anywhere she found herself on the field. She consistently stood out throughout the Shake School Showcase, and if I were a college coach, she would be near the top of my recruiting list.

[player_tooltip player_id='75025' first='Bailey' last='Farrell'] is a tall, athletic attacker who uses her size to create advantages all over the offensive end. She plays big and uses her lacrosse IQ to generate many opportunities. She reads defenses extremely well and always seems to put herself in the perfect position to make a play. She can shoot, she can move a goalie, but most of all she can feed exceptionally well. Farrell is a terrific finisher with soft hands, excellent shot placement, and polished stick skills. She does a great job using her body to protect the ball before mixing in deceptive fakes that consistently leave goalies guessing. Her combination of size, composure, and offensive versatility made her one of the most complete attackers at the Shake School Showcase, and she is sure to draw plenty of attention from college coaches this recruiting cycle.

I've written about [player_tooltip player_id='74655' first='Fabiana' last='Gallagher'] before, but once again she proved she deserved another mention. She was one of the most consistently impressive players at the Shake School Showcase and repeatedly found her way onto my list of top performers. Gallagher is electric in transition, using her speed and shiftiness to turn fast breaks into scoring opportunities in seconds. Her sidearm release is one of the most dangerous in the class, generating tremendous power while allowing her to place shots with pinpoint accuracy. Her deceptive fakes constantly force defenders out of position, and her high lacrosse IQ allows her to recognize whether to score herself or create opportunities for teammates. Whether she's riding aggressively, initiating offense from “X,” or making hustle plays across the field, Gallagher impacts every possession and is a college coach's dream.

Another player I've highlighted before, [player_tooltip player_id='74657' first='Alexa' last='Hayes'] once again proved why she is one of the most complete midfielders in the class. She plays with relentless effort from the opening whistle to the final horn and never gives up on a play. Hayes can beat defenders in a variety of ways, making her incredibly unpredictable and a nightmare to defend. Her explosive first step forces defenders to overcommit, and she consistently makes them pay with smart decisions and composed finishes. She displays outstanding stick work, plays with confidence, and can score from multiple areas of the field while also creating opportunities for teammates. Hayes was one of the recurring standout performers throughout the Shake School Showcase, and her passion for the game shines through every possession. She is undoubtedly a player college coaches should continue to watch closely.

I've covered [player_tooltip player_id='72934' first='Mackenzie' last='Maggs'] before following her outstanding sophomore season and impressive performance in the PA state championship, and once again she proved why she belongs among the top players in her class. Maggs continues to play with the confidence and maturity of an upperclassman while consistently turning heads at major events. Her combination of size, athleticism, and speed makes her a difficult matchup, and she changes direction effortlessly while attacking with either hand. Maggs contributes on both ends of the field, covering ground with long, efficient strides and impacting every phase of the game. She creates problems all over the field with her versatility and relentless motor, and she continues to develop. She is fluent with both hands and moves with the ball so smoothly that she never gives up on a play until her job is finished. Maggs is setting herself up for an outstanding summer and recruiting cycle.
