No. 20 ranked 2028 on Prep Girls Lacrosse, Fabiana Gallagher is one of the class’s best. Villanova is getting an attacker who can create from several spots on the field. Gallagher is especially dangerous at “X,” where her quick changes of direction help her get past defenders. Comfortable with either hand, she can finish her own chances or draw pressure and find an open teammate. Her deceptive release makes her a scoring threat even when a defender stays close.

Gallagher’s effort carries into the ride and transition game. She pressures opponents, pushes the pace, and can contribute through the midfield. Her improvement was clear throughout the summer, and that combination of skill and energy gives Villanova plenty of ways to use her.

The St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) attacker is a QB when she’s behind at “X.” Extremely hard to guard her 1v1 because she can beat her matchup righty or lefty. When you think of a pure 2-handed player in the Class of 2028, Gallagher shoots up to the top of the list. She is a crafty dodger. Gallagher can score coming up from “X,” or she can explode and get downhill. Her IQ is high. One of the top things about her game is her ability to rip the ball right-handed or left-handed. At the college level, she can be used anywhere on the offensive side of the ball because she can dodge from all over.

I’ve written about Fabiana Gallagher Fabiana Gallagher 5'4" | Attack/Midfield | Right Hand St. Anthony's | 2028 #20 Nation NY before, but once again she proved she deserved another mention. She was one of the most consistently impressive players at the Shake School Showcase and repeatedly found her way onto my list of top performers. Gallagher is electric in transition, using her speed and shiftiness to turn fast breaks into scoring opportunities in seconds. Her sidearm release is one of the most dangerous in the class, generating tremendous power while allowing her to place shots with pinpoint accuracy. Her deceptive fakes constantly force defenders out of position, and her high lacrosse IQ allows her to recognize whether to score herself or create opportunities for teammates. Whether she’s riding aggressively, initiating offense from “X,” or making hustle plays across the field, Gallagher impacts every possession and is a college coach’s dream.
