Top 2028 Recruits Off The Board

Some of the top recruits in the 2028 class are off the board. Here's a look at the standout players who announced their college commitments recently and what they'll bring to their new programs. The No. 1 player in Prep Girls Lacrosse's 2028 National Rankings is headed to Florida. Carcaterra's commitment gives the Gators an attacker who can change a game as both a scorer and a creator. Carcaterra is confident with either hand, making her difficult to predict in a 1v1 matchup. Her convincing fakes, explosive footwork, and quick release create openings for her own shot, while her fast feeds turn those same opportunities into goals for teammates. She has shown she can produce against elite defenders and goalkeepers, and her ability to spark an offense has made her one of the defining recruits in the class. Clemson has landed the No. 3 player in Prep Girls Lacrosse's 2028 National Rankings and the class's top goalkeeper. Holden has been a consistent standout at major recruiting events, bringing a commanding presence to the cage against elite attackers. At 6'2" Holden covers space exceptionally well, but her game goes far beyond her size. She reads shots early, reacts quickly, and uses strong positioning to make even difficult saves look controlled. Her consistency and composure have set her apart throughout the recruiting process, making this a major addition for Clemson. No. 31 ranked on Prep Girls Lacrosse, Ella Parker is the real deal. Syracuse is adding a player who can change a game before an offense even begins. Parker's timing and quick hands make her a force at the draw circle, and she excels at directing the ball to herself. The 6-foot attacker offers plenty in settled offense, too. She cuts hard to the crease, finishes quickly, and can create her own shot. Syracuse is getting a player who can win possessions and make them count. No. 20 ranked 2028 on Prep Girls Lacrosse, Fabiana Gallagher is one of the class's best. Villanova is getting an attacker who can create from several spots on the field. Gallagher is especially dangerous at "X," where her quick changes of direction help her get past defenders. Comfortable with either hand, she can finish her own chances or draw pressure and find an open teammate. Her deceptive release makes her a scoring threat even when a defender stays close. Gallagher's effort carries into the ride and transition game. She pressures opponents, pushes the pace, and can contribute through the midfield. Her improvement was clear throughout the summer, and that combination of skill and energy gives Villanova plenty of ways to use her. Brown is adding a defender who can turn a stop into an attack. Reynolds wins ground balls, gives her teammates an outlet on clears, and has the speed and confidence to carry possession through the midfield. She can stay involved on offense as well, attacking the cage when the opportunity is there. Ranked No. 38 nationally in Prep Girls Lacrosse's Class of 2028, she brings physicality and sound positioning to the defensive end. She uses her footwork and angles to push attackers away from dangerous areas, recognizes when to slide, and disrupts passes with an active stick. Versatility and leadership are what she brings to the table.
