No. 31 ranked on Prep Girls Lacrosse, Ella Parker is the real deal. Syracuse is adding a player who can change a game before an offense even begins. Parker’s timing and quick hands make her a force at the draw circle, and she excels at directing the ball to herself.
The 6-foot attacker offers plenty in settled offense, too. She cuts hard to the crease, finishes quickly, and can create her own shot. Syracuse is getting a player who can win possessions and make them count.

Ella Parker has been one of the most dominant draw specialists in a deep class of talented circle players all summer, and that was no exception this weekend against some of the nation’s top talent. One of the best in her class, Parker has single-handedly won games late with clutch draw controls. She did exactly that against West, getting it to herself on the draw and weaving through an attempted double team to run out the final seconds of a 10-9 win. She is a player with an exceptionally high lacrosse IQ who coaches regularly call on to have the ball in the clutch moments of games. Handles pressure with poise and shows up when it matters most.

Parker, out of J-D (N.Y.), will be high on college recruiting boards because of her ability to win the draw to herself. Against Team West Coast, she had three self-draws in the first half. Parker can easily play in a settled 7v7 offense and get to the goal and score. In her game against Team Baltimore, she displayed a nice question mark dodge, getting back to her right hand and firing off a shot. In the same game, she made a nice cut and dunked it on the crease and then scored again low on the right pipe in transition. I wouldn’t be surprised if college coaching staffs try to persuade her to be a FOGO at the next level.

Parker is a key player on the team, getting possession for her team mostly through the self-draw. In 17 games, she had 219 draw controls as a sophomore, making her an extremely valuable asset because draw controls win possessions and possessions win games. However, her value does not end at the circle. She is a strong cutter with a quick release, making her the third leading goal scorer on her team with 40 goals.

Parker is still one of the best draw takers in the Class of 2028, and she’s only getting better. The Jamesville-DeWitt (N.Y.) two-way midfielder stands at 6’0″. She loves to self-draw and dominates her opponents. Parker can get downhill on her dodges and will fight through contact. She is athletic and gets physical when playing defense. Off-ball, she makes good cuts, which lead to goals. Parker is a player when coaches call on 9/1; they may try to sell her as a draw specialist.
