Lauren Crisafulli Lauren Crisafulli 5'3" | Attack/Midfield | Right Hand New Canaan | 2029 CT put herself on coaches’ radars Sunday. The Sound Lacrosse and New Canaan product turned in one of the event’s best all-around performances. On one possession, she hit a right-to-left split and finished with her left from the low angle. I was convinced she was a full-blown lefty until I saw her do just as much damage with her right. She is as ambidextrous as any 2029 I saw Sunday, or this fall, for that matter. A few possessions later, she knifed her way downhill and scored again, and she mixed in a nice sidearm rip on another play. Crisafulli was at her best in the full-field games late Sunday. Truly impossible to stop. She is an alpha who wants the ball in her stick, and for good reason. Crisafulli can create offense for herself and her teammates at will.

The New Canaan attacker is a smooth dodger from down low. In one of the afternoon games, she had a nice rip with her left hand. In the same game, she juked a defender, which made my mouth drop; then she got downhill and scored. Her split dodge is lethal. Crisafulli is a natural right-handed player but is 2-handed and can shoot with both. She can slice through the defense on the low right side on the goalie. Crisafulli was one of the top players at the event.

Crisafulli threads the needle with ease. She understands how to shoot from close to her body in tight spaces for powerful finesse finishes.  What is most impressive is her non-verbal communication with her teammates. She clearly is the quarterback of her team, giving nods and other signals to her teammates of where to cut and when, then hitting them with a perfect feed.

Lauren Crisafulli is an incredibly poised young attacker. She excels playing behind the cage at “X,” where her stick protection, vision, and movement allow her to dictate the offense. Coming off her freshman season, she already looks like a player with a bright future. Crisafulli attacks with purpose, making sharp cuts, finishing through traffic, and catching passes cleanly despite defensive pressure. She is just as willing to feed teammates as she is to score herself, often catching and redirecting the ball into the cage in one smooth motion. Her fast first step, quick change of direction, deceptive sidearm shot, and ability to finish from difficult angles make her a complete offensive threat.

Crisafulli is a quick, dynamic multi-sport athlete (soccer and lacrosse) who thrives in transition and in attacking space. She plays with strong burst speed and can quickly separate from defenders in the open field.

In the 8-meter area, she is effective at using both hands and navigating through pressure to create quality scoring chances. She is also a turnover threat on the ride, capable of turning defense into offense and going coast to coast.

Her ability to handle multiple defenders, stay composed under pressure, and attack gaps makes her a consistent offensive presence.
