Game-Changing 2029 Prospects

The Shake School Showcase brought together some of the top young talent in the country. The showcase gives elite players the opportunity to compete against high-level competition while showcasing their skills. The Class of 2029 certainly didn't disappoint, as these freshmen played with poise, confidence, and lacrosse IQ well beyond their years. These five standouts consistently separated themselves throughout the showcase and are names college coaches should keep an eye on as they continue to develop. She understands exactly when to attack and when to let her shot go, consistently making smart decisions with the ball in her stick. Her deceptive hesitation moves, pump fakes, and sidearm release make her incredibly difficult to defend, and even when it appears she has no shooting angle, she somehow finds a way to tuck the ball into the back of the net. Despite her smaller frame, she is lightning quick, weaving through defenders with ease while showing outstanding precision on both her underhand and sidearm shots. Her jump shot is another weapon that catches defenders off guard, making her one of the most complete and dangerous freshmen attackers in the 2029 class.     Kassidy Haracz already possesses the size, strength, and all-around game that project extremely well at the next level. She uses her height to her advantage, playing through contact while making smart decisions whether she's creating for herself or setting up teammates. A true dual threat player, she is equally comfortable using either hand and has an outstanding sidearm release that becomes even more dangerous after a subtle hitch fake. Coming off a freshman season that included a trip to the state championship along with All-Region Honorable Mention and Second Team All-Conference honors, Haracz finished with an impressive 46 goals and 49 assists. Those numbers highlight just how unselfish she is, as every possession becomes a scoring opportunity whether she's finishing herself or delivering a great feed. With her combination of size, vision, and skill, she has all the tools to develop into a complete standout. She is equally dangerous with either hand and possesses outstanding speed that allows her to constantly pressure defenses. Fresh off helping her team capture a New York State Championship during her freshman season, Lauretano already displays a mature understanding of the game. She breaks double teams with ease, keeps her head up to find open teammates, and protects her stick exceptionally well under pressure. Her quick first step and sudden changes of direction leave defenders off balance, while her shot selection remains disciplined and efficient. Rather than forcing opportunities, she patiently waits for quality looks and consistently places the ball where it needs to be, making her one of the most polished midfielders in the 2029 class.     Anna Gallagher was a consistent offensive performer throughout the Shake School Showcase. She uses her size and strength to overpower defenders, especially around "X," where she finishes extremely well in tight spaces. Gallagher has a powerful shot, excellent stick control, and repeatedly found ways to score throughout the scrimmages. She drives hard through contact, using her shoulders to create separation and make defenders pay for overcommitting. Even when her initial dodge doesn't produce a scoring chance, she keeps the play alive by finding open teammates, making her an unselfish and dependable offensive weapon who can impact the game in multiple ways.     Lauren Crisafulli is an incredibly poised young attacker. She excels playing behind the cage at "X," where her stick protection, vision, and movement allow her to dictate the offense. Coming off her freshman season, she already looks like a player with a bright future. Crisafulli attacks with purpose, making sharp cuts, finishing through traffic, and catching passes cleanly despite defensive pressure. She is just as willing to feed teammates as she is to score herself, often catching and redirecting the ball into the cage in one smooth motion. Her fast first step, quick change of direction, deceptive sidearm shot, and ability to finish from difficult angles make her a complete offensive threat.
