Prep Girls Lacrosse made history with its first-ever PGL Elite Camp at Spooky Nook, PA, bringing together top players eager to compete, sharpen their skills, and get in front of college coaches.

The mission was simple: give girls lacrosse players a platform to be evaluated, get noticed, and take the next step in their recruiting journeys.

Athletes from the Classes of 2027 through 2030 shared one field, working through instructional drills before battling it out in 4v4, 5v5, and 6v6 play. Universal Speed Rating was also on site, testing players in the 5 + 10 Fly, 5-10-5 Agility, 30 + 10 Fly, and Broad Jump. See the full results here. 2029, Ellie Hill placed first in all four categories.

The day closed with a Q&A with college coaches, where committed players opened up about their own recruiting journeys. Their insights gave valuable guidance to the uncommitted 2028s, the 2029s just beginning their recruiting year, and the 2030s getting a first look at the process.

On the first play of the 4v4s, Isabella Hamo pulled out a between-the-legs shot identical to Connor Fields's from the PLL in 2024. Hamo has already made that shot in a game back in February during her high school season. Coaches immediately looked at their rosters.

That's the electrifying Isabella Hamo from Kansas committed to Princeton. One of the most entertaining players to watch at the PGL Elite Camp. It's hard to find anyone who shoots like her. The power behind her shot is different. You could argue she has the best shot from deep in the Class of 2027. She has a Steph Curry or Klay Thompson feel to her game. Her accuracy & swagger give me goosebumps. Hamo is a player we are going to talk about years from now. Younger players are going to want to play & shoot like her.

In 4v4s, there are 3 field players, which gives players more space to work with. Some players pull out a bag of creativity. Carcaterra was from a different planet. Not Pluto but Peyla. Her stick skills were in the purest form. Her shots were magnificent, and her BTBs were spectacular. Carcaterra's quick stick shots are so fast and accurate. She had a constant smile on her face the whole day. At the end of the games during the Q&A portion with the coaches, Carcaterra, along with the other 2027 and 2028 commits, shared her recruiting journey and how she ended up committing to Florida. Her relationship with the Florida staff was special, and there was a great connection that led to her decision to commit to Gainesville.

Bacallao, who is headed to Michigan, was an amazing communicator in goal. The PGL Elite Camp had players from the Class of 2027 to the Class of 2030. Bacallao, being one of the upperclassmen, helped direct younger players when playing defense. Her cross-body saves were incredible, and she looked like a veteran out on the field.

The fact that Maeve Cahill is uncommitted blows my mind. The Ridgefield (Conn.) and Gold Coast goalie was the Top uncommitted 2028 goalie at the PGL Elite Camp. Her quick reflexes on the doorstep were amazing. Cahill can come out of the goal for ground balls and wasn't fazed. She took shots right off her helmet and stood tall in the cage. Cahill makes incredible saves with her feet. There were coaches there who were beyond shocked that she was uncommitted. Let's just say Cahill's name quickly spread throughout the event, and her name was being sent to other coaches who were not at the event. Cahill needs to be picked up by a college program.

Tiergan Rowe out of Garrison Forest School (Md.) was a Top 2 uncommitted 2028 goalie at the PGL Elite Camp. Rowe is a lefty who makes great cross-body, opposite-stick-side saves. On the doorstep, she will stuff players. She was phenomenal in goal against players we will be talking about for decades. Rowe needs to be picked up by a college program.
