Expert Analysis
Riley Kennedy | Prep Girls Lacrosse Scout
Ardell is one of the best goalies I have seen this summer. She makes athletic saves and flies from pipe to pipe. Her clears are deadpoint accurate. Ardell can save the ball in close and will stop difficult bounce shots. In one of her games, she made a great opposite stick side save. She moves very well in goal.

is who you want in the cage. The textbook definition of a clutch-time performer.
Southern Lehigh’s Allie Denzel (Michigan commit) lined up on the left wing with just 16 seconds left on the clock, looking to find the equalizer on a free-position attempt in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter.
She charged the cage and fired a bouncer headed for the bottom left corner. But it was Ardell who got her body in the way with the quick drop to her knee, stopping the ball in its tracks and recovering it just as it neared the edge of the crease.
Big moments do not faze Ardell. In fact, she seems to thrive on them. She is a high-energy, confident goalie and one of the most athletic and agile in her class. Not the tallest netminder, but her raw athleticism allows her to cover a wide range of shots from any angle.

, exceptions are made.
Ardell is already one of the top goalies in the state despite being just a freshman. She consistently shuts down opposing offenses, giving her team a chance to compete against even the best Pennsylvania has to offer.
Such was the case on March 27, when West Chester Rustin faced national powerhouse Notre Dame Academy. Rustin stayed within striking distance until the very end, in large part due to Ardell’s strong play in net and her ability to contain an offense stacked with some of the top recruits in the country. Though Rustin would ultimately fall 10-8, performances like this prove they can hang with the elite programs in the state.
Ardell may not be the biggest goalie in net, but her ability to read opposing attacks, combined with sharp reflexes, allows her to consistently hold her ground. She is also extremely agile, able to quickly drop to a knee and stop low shots with ease.
While Ardell cannot officially commit yet, it is safe to assume her name is already on the watchlist of college programs across the country. There are only so many high-level goalies, and Ardell is emerging as one of the best in the nation.
