Manheim, PA — Prep Girls Lacrosse held its first-ever showcase on October 10, 2026, at Spooky Nook Sports in Manheim, Pennsylvania. As the title suggests, the inaugural event had it all. Between Ivy League commits from the Class of 2027, the best signed and unsigned prospects from the Class of 2028, frontrunners for top names in the Class of 2029, and even some of the nation's top 2030s, it offered a unique opportunity for players to compete outside their regular age groups and classifications in standard tournament play. Every player on site was also measured in four combine testing categories, giving coaches a clearer picture of where these players stand among their peers athletically. From standouts to sleepers to big names, here are the uncommitted 2028s and early favorites from the class of 2029 that turned heads Saturday at “The Nook.”

[player_tooltip player_id='70600' first='Lucy' last='Schardt'] is going to be a mainstay D1 lacrosse player. Has the measurables of one heading into just her sophomore year at Agnes Irwin. Schardt has one of the most powerful shots I've seen from a 2029. She absolutely unloaded a stepdown 12m riser from the left wing that punished the top right corner. College coaches noted how big and powerful her shot is, going as far as to draw a Charlotte North comparison in the way she rips it. But it was also the intangibles that made Schardt stand out on Saturday. She was the most vocal and loudest communicator on the field. The first to hype up her teammates after a great lacrosse play. College coaches are going to be lining up for [player_tooltip player_id='70600' first='Lucy' last='Schardt'] next September. She is the real deal and looks to be an early frontrunner for one of the top 2029s in the nation.

I was shocked on Saturday to see that Tiergan Rowe remains uncommitted. The lefty goalie originally from California had an impressive day at “The Nook,” making big-time stop after big-time stop. Rowe is technical and fundamentally sound, reading the ball before it gets to her. Super economical in the cage, staying squared on shooters and eliminating angles. She can thread the needle with her clearing pass. Sharp and never out of position. One of the most vocal players I heard at Saturday's event, she was another individual quick to hype her teammates up after a great play. Her dedication to even be at Saturday's event cannot be overstated. She makes teams better on and off the field.

Coaches on site Saturday had nothing but good things to say about Connecticut's Maeve Cahill. And for good reason. She was on it all morning and afternoon, making stops that had coaches talking. This is another name that I am shocked to see still on the board. Cahill is a Division I goalie just waiting to be seen and picked up by the right program, and whoever does is getting a true steal of a prospect. May have had the best performance from the goalie group on Saturday, which is truly saying something with the crew that attended. Time and time again, Cahill made big-time stops on the doorstep in Sixes. A super athletic goalie who can throw her body on the ground to stop a ball coming in low. The character she showed off the field only added to it. She is the total package.

As noted, four different combine testing measurements were taken at PGL's first showcase on Saturday at Spooky Nook — broad jump, 5-10 Fly, 30-10 Fly, and 5-10-5. Connecticut's Ellie Hill finished her day No. 1 in all four categories. Clocking in as fast as 17.783 MPH during the 30-10 Fly, Hill dominated the combine testing. But her day wasn't limited to the combine. The lefty two-way middie, a Gold Coast Lacrosse product, made her impact felt in a game setting as well. She made a living on Saturday getting downhill and attacking the cage hard, and the powerful overhand rip she brings to the table gives goalies problems. Plays a gritty brand of 1v1 defense and racked up CTOs during Sixes. An athlete's athlete whose more technical skills are rapidly developing, Hill's measurables are the type coaches actively seek.

[player_tooltip player_id='71635' first='Grace' last='Rushin'] was balling on Saturday. An explosive, towering two-way middie, Rushin was among the event's best. Her playmaking ability is on another level, and she has a truly rare combination of size and athleticism. Showed off her wicked sidearm release more than once on Saturday. Extremely shifty up top and able to absolutely shake her defender. Can win the matchup via topside or use her strength and size to bully her way downhill and attack the cage with authority. Has a lethal left-to-right split in her bag that she bursts out of and unloads from. She's an exceptional feeder as well, always looking for the drop-off at the cage after drawing the slide. Rushin's athleticism is truly on another level. College coaches should keep this name close as 2029 big boards develop. She is another PA name that should be among the class's most highly coveted next September.
