With the 2027 class going into their senior year, there is still so much talent left, and these uncommitted players are proof of that. Each player brings their own unique style of play, commitment, and grit to the field. As they head into their last year of high school, these athletes are ready to make an impact and show college coaches they can compete at the next level. Here are five 2027s you need to know. Using her speed to help in transition, fast breaks, and dodging, she is a gritty player.    Offensively, Morris is a quick dodger with powerful drives and a shot that can come from anywhere and hit the cage. Her footwork and speed help elevate her dodges; she knows when the defense is going to bite before fully committing or moving the ball quickly. On the defensive end, Morris reads the attackers well and is active. She has good footwork and can read cutters well, knowing when to match stick and when to play body. With a good IQ on pressing out and staying patient, it's hard to get around her in a 1v1.    Morris is also a smart draw circle player, tracking the ball well and getting off the line quickly to help gain possession. She's aggressive but controlled, knows when to check while staying disciplined, and boxes out to get the ball.    Morris is a high-impact, confident player who plays with speed and intensity while helping her teammates on both ends of the field.     Mascis is a smart and creative attacker with strong stick skills, good decision-making, and strong dodging. She knows how to read a defense and when to rip a shot.   She's especially dangerous around the crease and the elbow, where she uses her speed, fakes, and IQ to create scoring chances. Her crease rolls are perfectly timed, and her drives are strong; she also works well under pressure, knowing when to go to the goal and finish or to find a teammate. Her shot placement, feeds, drives, and cuts stand out because she's not just looking to score; Mascis is looking for the right play. Whether that's pushing fast breaks and passing ahead to get herself up the field to help, or handling pressure to get the ball up the field safely, she has strong decision-making.   Mascis is smart with her plays. She uses her speed to drive and draw a defense, then moves the ball to an open teammate or to get open for her team. She's a true team player with strong offensive skills and the ability to create opportunities.     Mellinger is a tough and scrappy midfield/attack player who shines on the field. She has strong dodges, hard drives, and can create offensive possessions quickly.   She is dangerous when she rolls the crease, using her footwork and speed to fake out the defense and gain the advantage. She has strong cuts and knows when to pull the defense to look for a feed to her teammates.    Her best ability is to see an open cut and feed them the ball. Mellinger is not a selfish player; she thrives on setting her teammates up and making smart decisions under pressure. She has a good view of the field and will do the little things to help the momentum of the game.   On the draw, Mellinger tracks the ball well and competes hard for pressure. She has a strong ride and creates those momentum shifts for her team, especially on the circle.    She's the kind of player who brings grit, energy, and unselfish play. She is an all-around player, and while some of her palsy may not show up on a stat sheet, you can see her efforts on the field.     Bastow is an athletic and active goalie who plays with confidence. She tracks the ball well, shows strong footwork, and does not clear the ball far.   She thrives on high shots but is also quick to drop and make saves; whether it's a bounce shot, fake, or up close, she is there to stop it and control the game.   Her presence in the cage stands out because Bastow has a good read on shooters, stays active, and can stuff close shots. She does a good job of maintaining control over saves and quickly turning defense into an offensive set with accurate clears. Her IQ on clears is her strength. Bastow can find an open teammate and quickly send a long, accurate clear to help with the transition.   She's not only a lacrosse player, though she is an all-around athlete, earning her black belt, and skiing, whether in snow or water, she is active. During her 2025-26 high school season, she recorded 138 saves and 18 ground balls, demonstrating her ability to consistently impact games.   Her confidence and athleticism shine brightly. She makes big stops, controls the game, and creates transition opportunities for the team.     An all-around attack middie who plays with speed, grit, and field awareness, handles pressure well, and knows when to attack the goal or create play for her team. A player you need on your roster, and Claire Meyers is that player.   On the attacking end, Meyers is quick in transition, using her speed to her advantage and hustling down the field on fast breaks. She also thinks quickly with a high IQ, recognizing when to feed, pull out, and cut. When she has possession, she will do everything to put herself in a scoring position and hit the goal. Meyers has shown great off-ball IQ, seeing when teammates need help and making the right cut to pick you to create an opportunity.   What stood out the most was her redefend, but not just her redefend, but her effort and relentlessness. Causing turnovers that help shift momentum, pressuring goalies, forcing bad passes, and using her controlled aggression for ground balls to either box out for teammates or direct to gain possessions, she turns defenders into fast-break chances.   Meyers is a strong attacker who impacts the game in numerous ways, bringing energy, relentlessness, and smart decision-making whenever she steps onto the field.
