Districts are officially wrapped up in Pennsylvania, and only a few weeks remain in the 2026 high school girls lacrosse season. The district playoffs were as advertised, and players from across the state made their presence known. Here are five standouts from the PIAA district playoffs — underclassmen and uncommitted prospects who are making their case at the right time of year.

Your midfielder's favorite midfielder. [player_tooltip player_id='72013' first='Eva' last='Lemieux'] is one of the most polished and college-ready players in the class of 2028, and come September 1, her phone will likely be ringing off the hook from Division I programs across the country.

Lemieux is the total package. She can lower her shoulder, bully her way inside with the crease roll, and put one in the back of the net while absorbing contact. Or she can let it fly from the eight-meter mark and beyond when the space is there. The ball leaves her stick like it was fired from a cannon, and she can get her arms free to fire with little space to work with.

Her ability in the draw circle is unmatched — equally confident in the push and the pull, she uses both situationally to gain possession for her team. A true two-way midfielder, Lemieux excels on the defensive end as well. She drives opposing players out of the eight and has an active stick that she uses well to deflect balls in the passing lane.

With back-to-back state championship aspirations in the PIAA 3A tournament, Springfield will rely heavily on Lemieux this June, and she is certainly a player who can guide them back to the title game.

Sniper from beyond the eight meter — you cannot give [player_tooltip player_id='73012' first='Reagan' last='Dare'] an inch of space. She has a quick release and can rip shots from different angles. Shot speed is excellent. If you blink, you'll likely miss it. Leaves her stick quick, and she can paint corners from anywhere on the field. Dare is dangerously quick on her feet, and her runner is a thing of beauty. She loves to rip it, going right where she has a high success rate. She's a good feeder who naturally draws the slide with her one-on-one ability up top.

Dare is an excellent field hockey player as well, recently earning PA All-State Honorable Mention recognition. It remains to be seen what she does this summer, as the club seasons for lacrosse and field hockey do tend to overlap. Even if she does not hit the lacrosse club circuit, Dare is worthy of Division I interest based on her high school tape alone. Expect the calls from coaches in both sports to be non-stop.

From New Freedom, Pennsylvania, [player_tooltip player_id='73020' first='Lucy' last='Black'] is a versatile midfielder who gets it done on both ends of the field. Excellent in transition — defenders constantly try to keep up with her, but all eventually end up with their backs to her as she blows by. She runs the offense well and has a shifty hesitation move she loves to pull out at the top of the arc. Quick feet and an explosive first step, she gets downhill and puts pressure on defenses north-south. She has a good base and absorbs contact exceptionally well. Comfortable charging the cage on free-position attempts or taking a step in and ripping one into a corner.

Her off-ball movement is equally impressive — constantly moving without clogging up any one part of the field, she commands space around the eight-meter mark without the ball in her stick.

Her impact does not stop on offense. Black is an asset on the defensive end as well. At 5'5" and still growing, she is lengthy and uses it to her advantage. She's an extremely physical defender who will pick up 1v1 at the midfield stripe. She hunts down ground balls well and is not scared of any contact that may come as a result.

[player_tooltip player_id='73072' first='Honor' last='Borek'] is the kind of player that college coaches dream of having on their roster. A high-IQ, high-motor attacker who does not give up on plays, she will crash the crease and chase down rebounds for second and third looks at the cage. Even then, she is relentless on the ride, able to stay connected without overcommitting in open space. Extremely physical but disciplined enough to stay vertical and avoid the foul. Her footwork is solid, allowing her to stay step for step with quick defenders on the ride.

Borek is a commanding presence on the offensive end, doing a nice job of finding soft spots in the defense around the eight-meter mark, where she does a lot of her damage. She is poised inside the eight with the defense crashing. She is a tier-one finisher who absorbs contact well and gets her shot off regardless of the traffic around her.

Borek has had a strong junior season, and I do not expect her to stay on the uncommitted list much longer. More of the same should be expected as she gears up for a state playoff run and the club circuit this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='71777' first='Nyla' last='Knorr'] is a future Division I athlete — no questions, no doubts. Among the best in the class of 2029 across the country, Knorr simply looks a step above her competition.

She can score in a multitude of ways on the offensive end — jumping crease rolls, sidearm shots from the eight-meter mark, a laser from beyond. She even has a handful of behind-the-back goals this season. Knorr does what she wants offensively, and defenses have no choice but to play at her pace. She is a constant scoring threat, even when the ball is not in her stick.

Knorr is equally dangerous behind the cage at the X. She does an excellent job of reading her defender's reactions and attacking accordingly. Knorr is patient with the ball in her stick, and turnovers are a rarity in her game.

Come September 1, 2027, the calls will start rolling in for [player_tooltip player_id='71777' first='Nyla' last='Knorr'], and for good reason. Do not expect her to last long on the recruiting trail — nearly any Division I program in the country would be fortunate to add a player of her caliber.
