Clemson kept the momentum going on Wednesday afternoon, landing their second Prep Girls Lacrosse five-star of the day in Connecticut’s Sadie Sherman. An offensive playmaker with a limitless ceiling, Sherman does not have a weak hand, and her dominant hand is nearly impossible to identify. She loves to attack the cage hard and is one of the class’s purest scorers, capable of getting it done in a variety of deceptive ways. Another player who missed this past spring and summer due to injury, Clemson did not hesitate. She is a program-changing player, and the Tigers are getting one of the class’s best.

Ranked No. 10 by Prep Girls Lacrosse, Sherman is an incredibly complete attacker who combines shiftiness and creativity to consistently create offense. She is excellent with both hands and does some of her best work off-ball, timing her cuts well and putting herself in great positions to catch and immediately finish. Her ability to redirect the ball quickly makes her especially dangerous around the cage. Sherman is comfortable going to a lefty sidearm shot without disrupting the flow of the play. At “X,” her quickness and stick movement really shine. Her fakes are dramatic and convincing, getting both goalies and defenders to bite before she finds the back of the net. Her feet and stick work together extremely well, which makes her difficult to predict. She also has excellent vision and does not struggle to locate the open teammate when the defense commits to her. Sherman brings that same energy to the ride, where she closes space quickly, stays on ball carriers, and creates opportunities for her offense to regain possession.

Sherman is your fundamental attacker who has great stick skills, plays with both hands, and does everything right. She is a great feeder, has excellent vision, and sees plays develop. Sherman does a lot of damage from back at “X” or off to the goalies’ right and left side on GLE. She is fast, gets after it on the ride, and will hunt players down with a trial check. Sherman is a great finisher and can beat defenders with her off-ball cuts.
