Her 1v1 defense is outstanding. Attackers rarely get clean looks against her because she forces them to work for every inch of space. She slides well, uses her length effectively, and plays with tremendous strength while maintaining great stick positioning.

Despite being known for her defense, Lopez contributes across every phase of the game. During her sophomore season, she totaled 36 goals, 35 draw controls, and shot an impressive 58% from the field. Once she wins possession, she quickly pushes transition, uses both hands comfortably, and finds teammates to keep momentum moving forward.
