Class of 2028: High-Ceiling Players

She plays physical, keeps her stick up, communicates through switches, and has the footwork and awareness to make strong slides. Her ground ball ability, hustle on the draw circle, and effectiveness in transition make her someone who could thrive as a defensive midfielder at the college level. Once she creates a stop, she does an excellent job turning defense into offense. Giannetti protects her stick, gets her eyes upfield, and looks for teammates rather than slowing down the momentum of the clear.   What makes her especially valuable is that she is far from a defensive-only player. Giannetti understands offensive movement, helps set up her teammates, and has both power and accuracy on her shot. She can shoot through pressure and has a dangerous sidearm release when given space. Her defensive ability may be her biggest standout trait, but her complete skill set makes her an impact player all over the field.     Printup has the combination of size, strength, production, and athleticism that is extremely difficult to overlook. Through her sophomore season, she has already totaled just short of 300 career goals, 370 career points, and 440 career draw controls... as mainly a defender. Those numbers are staggering; she plays midfield for her high school team, and her production there shows just how much versatility she brings to the field.   Defensively, Printup is tall, physical, and uses her long reach extremely well. She is a ground-ball and turnover machine who can overwhelm opponents with her size and strength. She is also heavily involved in the clear and has the athleticism to immediately run a fast break. Add in her ability to dominate the draw circle and finish offensively, and Printup has the tools to become a legitimate two-way midfielder at the next level. There are not many players with this combination of defensive ability and offensive production.     Lutte is the definition of a high-level multi-sport athlete. She has the athleticism to compete at the Division I level in both lacrosse and field hockey, all while playing for one of the top lacrosse clubs & high schools, plus competing with USA Field Hockey. That alone speaks volumes about the level of athlete she is.   On the lacrosse field, Lutte brings relentless defensive pressure. She is physical, aggressive, and has a knack for stepping up on offensive players when they least expect it. Her stick is constantly active; she gets into passing lanes, backchecks hard, and gets a piece of countless balls to disrupt possessions. She is gritty and refuses to give up on a play. In the midfield, Lutte is quick, confident, and trustworthy with the ball. She protects her stick extremely well and makes smart decisions in transition.     Davis is an athletic two-way midfielder who embraces the physical side of the game. She is a competitor who thrives defensively, plays with excellent positioning, and is comfortable taking on difficult 1v1 matchups. Her combination of speed and physicality allows her to pressure opponents while still staying disciplined with her positioning.   She is also a major presence on the draw circle and has the versatility to contribute offensively. Davis is shifty with the ball, can dodge effectively, and is capable of finishing with either hand. She attacks the cage with speed and aggression but is also willing to slip into space and contribute without needing the ball in her stick. She is an extremely well-rounded midfielder.     McCool plays with constant momentum and effort. She is powerful, explosive, and handles physicality extremely well, whether she is driving toward the cage or delivering that same pressure defensively. When she gets on the run offensively, she is difficult to slow down because of the combination of strength and determination she brings to her dodges.   That physicality translates directly to the defensive end. McCool gets up on opponents, matches sticks, applies aggressive pressure, and competes all over the field. She is also a major hustle player on the draw circle, tracking the ball well and fighting for possessions. What consistently stands out is her motor. McCool looks like she is giving everything she has on every possession, whether she is chasing a loose ball, battling on the circle, defending a matchup, or exploding toward goal.

These players make an impact all over the field. Their ceilings are high, and they will be players to keep an eye on.
