Twin Valley Players to Watch in the PIAA State Championship

Twin Valley has been one of the most complete teams in Pennsylvania all season, combining high-powered offense, dominant draw play, a great team culture, and a reliable presence in goal. As the Raiders prepare for the state championship this weekend, these are the players who have consistently stepped up in big moments and will be key names to watch on the biggest stage of the season.

After coming up just short as state runners-up multiple times in recent years, Twin Valley enters this weekend's championship with its sights set on finally bringing home the state title and finishing the job on Saturday, June 13th.

Few players in Pennsylvania have put together a career as impressive as [player_tooltip player_id='72933' first='Ellie' last='Kaplan']. The Michigan commit was named the 2026 Berks All-Conference Player of the Year and has established herself as one of the premier midfielders in the state. Kaplan owns Twin Valley's school record for points, has surpassed 300 career goals, and recently eclipsed 700 career draw controls.

Her impact was on full display in the state semifinals, where she recorded 18 draw controls against Villa Maria while also finding the back of the net five times. Just one game earlier, she exploded for 10 goals. Those performances are a perfect example of what makes Kaplan special. She rises to the occasion when the stakes are highest.

Between the 30s, Kaplan is a dynamic athlete who can take over a game with her speed and relentless motor. She attacks with confidence and can finish from multiple angles. While she is known for her scoring ability, she is equally capable of drawing attention and feeding teammates for easy opportunities. As a USA Lacrosse All-American and one of the highest-rated seniors in Pennsylvania, Kaplan enters the state final as one of the most dangerous players on the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='73511' first='Maddison' last='Lawrence'] brings a combination of shop placement, skill, and offensive instincts that make her difficult to defend. The East Stroudsburg commit plays tall, splitting through defenders while maintaining outstanding stick protection.

Lawrence excels at off-ball movement and timing her cuts perfectly. She consistently cuts with purpose, understanding exactly when to attack openings in the defense. Once she gets the ball near the cage, her deceptive fakes and ability to place shots around the goalie make her a dangerous finishing threat.

Her game is built around smart movement and efficient scoring opportunities. Whether she's slipping behind the defense for a backdoor finish or catching and quickly releasing a shot after a fake, Lawrence repeatedly finds ways to capitalize. As Twin Valley heads into the state championship, her ability to finish opportunities and make defenders pay for mistakes may prove critical.

[player_tooltip player_id='73515' first='Meredith' last='Siever'] brings physicality and playmaking ability to the Twin Valley attack. The Duquesne commit uses her strength to create matchup problems and is capable of bullying her way through defensive pressure when attacking the cage.

Siever possesses a powerful shot and has a knack for finding soft spots in opposing defenses. However, one of the most impressive aspects of her game is her vision. She consistently makes the extra pass and plays with a team-first mentality, creating scoring opportunities for those around her.

Her ability to draw defenders and quickly move the ball makes the entire offense more dangerous. Whether she is finishing a possession herself or setting up a teammate, Siever's unselfish style of play is a major reason Twin Valley's offense has been so effective throughout the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='73206' first='Taylor' last='Ebert'], a Bloomsburg commit, serves as a key facilitator for the Twin Valley offense. Operating primarily from “X,” she does an excellent job orchestrating possessions and creating opportunities for herself and her teammates.

Ebert has a natural feel for spacing and consistently finds ways to get open around the crease. She thrives in quick passing sequences and is often the player finishing the tic-tac-toe ball movement that Twin Valley executes so well. Her ability to redirect passes into the back of the net makes her a dangerous finishing option around the cage.

In addition to her scoring ability, Ebert is an effective distributor who has no problem feeding teammates from behind the goal. She is also a strong rider and provides leadership on the offensive end for Twin Valley.

Every championship caliber team needs a dependable goalie, and [player_tooltip player_id='73512' first='Stephanie' last='Dunbar'] has been exactly that for Twin Valley. The Queens University of Charlotte commit has already surpassed 200 saves as a junior.

Dunbar's quick reaction time immediately stands out. She tracks the ball well, stays composed under pressure, and consistently seems to be in the right position to make difficult saves look routine. Her ability to come up with momentum-changing stops has helped keep Twin Valley in countless games throughout the season.
