N.Y. and N.J. Uncommitted 2028s to Watch

These uncommitted 2028s are making their presence felt across New York and New Jersey. From dangerous finishers to defenders who create possessions, each brings something college coaches should be watching. At 6'1", Imburgia has the size to stand out, but her creativity and shooting ability are what make her so dangerous. She sets defenders up with smooth dodges and convincing fakes, then releases a powerful, accurate shot before they can recover. She has soft hands around the cage and is capable of picking out the top corners with a sidearm release. Imburgia contributes on defense, too, using her length to get into passing lanes. She is the real deal and an uncommitted name that deserves more attention. Ladu is an aggressive, unselfish player who knows how to find space inside the 8-meter. She catches cleanly and finishes quickly in front of the cage, often getting a shot off before the goalie can set. Her fast release and accuracy in the high corners make her a threat near the crease. Ladu also protects her stick well, spots open teammates, battles for 50/50 ground balls, and can create possessions with a self-draw. She brings both scoring ability and hustle to the field. Telling is a physical lefty defender who makes every possession difficult for the attacker she is guarding. She stays on her opponent's hip, gets on their stick, and uses her quick feet to stay with shifty dodgers in 1v1 situations. She is just as effective when she slides, arriving with pressure and creating chances for turnovers. Telling's speed and hustle keep her involved in every play. She is gritty, coachable, and the kind of defender attackers hate seeing across from them. Foster covers ground quickly and knows how to turn a defensive play into an offensive opportunity. Her positioning and reads help her intercept passes, and she can carry the ball through midfield or move it upfield to an open teammate. She stays composed under pressure in transition, consistently finding a safe way to advance the ball. Foster can also score from distance and looks for chances to set up her teammates. A versatile player for her state champion high school team, she continues to stand out at major events.
