The writing is on the wall in District Three. Manheim Township (Pa.) and Wyomissing (Pa.), both repeat champions, have conquered the PIAA District Three bracket in their respective classifications and will return to the state championship tournament riding high. But the way in which each team captured its title could not have been more different.

The Blue Streaks led wire-to-wire, and although Hempfield had a few offensive outbursts that kept them within arm's reach, Manheim Township led comfortably throughout and pulled away in the final quarter behind hat tricks from [player_tooltip player_id='71080' first='Lexie' last='Kauffman'] and [player_tooltip player_id='71081' first='Regan' last='Taylor'], taking down inter-league foe Hempfield 12-8. It was yet another dominant district run for the Blue Streaks, who outscored opponents by 37 goals across their three district games. They will host Fox Chapel in the opening round of states on June 2.

In 2A, Wyomissing had its hands full with [player_tooltip player_id='72933' first='Ellie' last='Kaplan'] and Twin Valley. A 5-5 tie that held for over ten minutes was broken by Duquesne commit [player_tooltip player_id='72912' first='Karly' last='Hyde'], who netted her third goal of the game early in the fourth quarter. It proved to be the deciding shot as Wyomissing pulled away for a 6-5 win. The Raiders will head to Clarks Summit in the opening round of states to take on [player_tooltip player_id='71773' first='Morgan' last='Davis'] and the high-flying Abington Heights Comets.

Committed seniors on one last run, rising underclassmen making their case, and uncommitted talent waiting to be discovered — the District Three championship games had a little bit of everything.

Here are seven standout performers from all four championship teams:

Watching [player_tooltip player_id='71080' first='Lexie' last='Kauffman'] in open space is like watching an elite-level point guard in basketball. She loves to use her downhill speed to push the pace in transition and attack the cage hard, putting defenses on their heels with her quickness.

Her dodges are dynamic, and she uses them effectively at all parts of the field, especially when pushing the ball between the thirties. You cannot lose sight of her in transition, because she will take it to the cage regardless of where she receives the ball. One of her goals on Wednesday was the result of an end-to-end transition sprint where she did exactly that. Stamina and speed are the name of her game, and Kauffman has the perfect mix of both.

Her impact extended well beyond the offensive end — all told, she tallied three goals, a pair of ground balls, and six draw controls in what was an all-around dominant performance for the East Carolina commit.

We have talked before about the rapidly developing offensive game of [player_tooltip player_id='72331' first='Kendall' last='Cavallaro']. But on Wednesday night, it was her unwavering physicality on the ride that stood out above all else. She may not be the biggest, but she has quick feet and an active stick that is always up in the passing lane.

In one instance, Hempfield looked to clear after a shot from [player_tooltip player_id='71080' first='Lexie' last='Kauffman'] was saved. With the goalie out of the crease, Cavallaro covered her zone on the ride to a tee. She was draped all over the Hempfield goalie and forced an errant pass that sailed out of bounds, giving the ball back to the Blue Streaks on the short end of the field.

Cavallaro is a player with tremendous upside whose game will translate well to the college level in a few years. She has a deep understanding of the game and has had some of the best possible mentors in seniors [player_tooltip player_id='71079' first='Toby' last='Bergstrom'], [player_tooltip player_id='71080' first='Lexie' last='Kauffman'], Liv Parmer, and Addie Laurence.

[player_tooltip player_id='72933' first='Ellie' last='Kaplan'] is the real deal, and she is a mesmerizing player to watch. Despite facing a relentless face-guard all game, there was no doubt she would make her presence felt in the district title game. And that she did. The Michigan commit tallied a hat trick on Tuesday.

It all starts on the draw circle for Kaplan. She is among the best draw specialists in the country, and her sheer athleticism and agility make her so effective there. At 5'6", there are plenty taller, but she does an excellent job of putting it in the air and giving herself a chance with her length and verticality. She is a complete weapon on offense, a patient player who will never force an entry pass inside. She is comfortable enough with the ball in her stick at the point to let the play develop in front of her and attack accordingly. One of the most impressive aspects of Kaplan's game is her ability to engage her primary and help-side defender on the re-dodge. She is light on her feet and has the explosive first step that sells the move and leaves her defender in the dust.

Michigan grabbed a good one. The intangibles, measurables, and an all-around polished game make Kaplan one of the more complete players in the state, and one who is going to make an immediate impact in the Big Ten in a few short months.

Everything about [player_tooltip player_id='72934' first='Mackenzie' last='Maggs'] screams future Division I recruit. A two-way midfielder who is impactful on both ends of the field, she is a dynamic presence whose measurables and skill set will translate exceptionally well at the next level. What stood out most on Tuesday was her one-on-one defense.

A menacing defender, Maggs has an active stick and loves to push attackers to their non-dominant hand until they are neutralized or give up on the play entirely. Her length and reach allow her to be physical, poking the ball loose while staying connected and making up for any overcommitment.

This is a big summer for Maggs, with the recruiting season just around the corner for the class of 2028. Expect her to follow up a strong spring with an equally strong showing on the club circuit.

[player_tooltip player_id='72912' first='Karly' last='Hyde'] is a dynamic playmaker at the point. Covering her requires a delicate balance for defenders—face-guard her, and she will blow right by on her way to the cage. Her first step is explosive, and if she has even an inch of space, she will get free and immediately generate north-south pressure. She has a deep bag of dodges and re-dodges she can go to at any time to create separation. But you cannot give her too much room, because she possesses a slept-on outside shot with good speed and solid placement. Her feeding ability is the most developed part of her game. If she gets downhill and draws a slide, she is composed in high-pressure situations and consistently finds the open teammate rather than forcing a look.

Hyde is also an asset on the defensive end, willing to pick up her assignment anywhere on the field. She shows good footwork and an active stick, working passing lanes to disrupt and deflect balls.

Hyde tallied three goals in Wyomissing's win on Tuesday, with her final goal breaking a tie and serving as the game-winner. In a one-on-one situation at the top of the point with her team needing a goal, Hyde was given the ISO opportunity and delivered in a critical moment.

The Duquesne recruit has a well-developed game on both ends and is a dynamic presence whenever she is on the field. She projects as a potential impact player at the college level early in her career and should not take long to push for meaningful minutes.

[player_tooltip player_id='72932' first='Skylar' last='Maggs'], the older sister of the aforementioned Mackenzie, is a fundamental reason why Wyomissing was able to capture the PIAA 2A District Three title on Tuesday. A brick wall between the pipes for all 48 minutes, Maggs is a fearless goalie who uses every part of her body and stick to make saves. She is not afraid to come out of the crease and make a play to shut down an offense. Despite a relentless effort from [player_tooltip player_id='72933' first='Ellie' last='Kaplan'] and company, Maggs was rock solid in net, turning away eight shots on Tuesday — each save down the stretch giving her team a little more momentum to hold onto.

Maggs reads shots exceptionally well out of the stick and has quick hands that allow her to make difficult cross-body saves. She extends toward the ball on high shots and is agile enough to get down and stop a shot coming in low. What stood out most on Tuesday was her ability to stay with the play and take away what looked like easy goals at the cage for Twin Valley. More than once did Twin Valley appear to have an open look at the crease, and more than once was Maggs there to take it away.

A dual-sport athlete in lacrosse and volleyball, [player_tooltip player_id='72937' first='Bryce' last='Calabretta'] is an energetic midfielder who can weave through defenses and get downhill on her way to the cage. Operating mainly from the point, she absorbs contact well and does not allow it to alter her shots. She moves well without the ball in her stick and has a quick first step that allows her to get past defenders on the backside. Not a flashy player, Calabretta uses her IQ to pick and choose her spots precisely. Her shot accuracy is solid, and she does a good job of painting corners, particularly on free-position attempts. She chases down ground balls fearlessly and holds her ground well in contested situations.

Back from an ACL tear that caused her to miss the back half of her freshman season, Calabretta has been a dominant force throughout this season for Hempfield, and she should be equally effective on the club circuit this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='72915' first='Alexis' last='Arnold'] has been having quite the district playoff run. Despite the loss on Wednesday night, Arnold was a standout on the offensive end of the field. She is not flashy, but she does all the little things needed to give her team a chance to win — including refusing to give up on plays that look dead.

Her first goal of the game was a prime example. On a free-position attempt that was deflected behind the cage, Arnold tracked it down, made her move, and charged in for the putback. She works extensively from the X, and the position suits her perfectly. She is always in the right spot on the redefend, and her head is constantly up on the ride, looking to apply pressure and regain possession on the short end of the field. That was on display when she picked off a goalie clear and converted it into a fast break goal for Hempfield moments later.

Arnold finished with three goals on the night, and like several names on this list, she is gearing up for her final club season before recruiting officially opens for the class of 2028 in September.
