Justin Staggers | Prep Girls Lacrosse Scout
Rayven Rice, a 2030 midfielder from Maryland, turned in an impressive showing at both ends of the field Monday. The McDonogh and Coppermine product is a true two-way midfielder capable of picking apart defenses from up top and the wings. She is a shifty dodger who gets topside and turns the corner in a hurry, pairing that burst with a powerful shot that can beat goalkeepers from distance. A natural initiator, she won her matchups and drew slides that opened up opportunities for her teammates. Rice also showed strong defensive instincts, executing well-timed slides and doubling quickly when called upon. She left Monday as one of the more complete 2030s on display.
