Margaret is fast, reliable on the fast break, and a key player on the draw circle. She is speedy, boxes out well, tracks the ball, and has good control. She reads the defense well, catches defenders off guard, and makes them bite. She has a powerful shot, strong dodges, and sees open teammates for assists. On defense, she stays pressed out with her stick up, causes knockdowns and possession plays, stays low, and plays aggressively. She is gritty and a player every team needs on the draw circle.

Margaret Fykes was one of the most “full package” attackers I watched at Lacrosse Masters. She consistently found quality scoring opportunities while also setting up plays for her teammate to also see the back of the net. Her ability to finish from multiple angles and her confidence to take risky shots made her especially difficult to defend.
