Committed Games: 2028 Midfielders Coaches Will Be Calling

The HHH Committed Games in Conshohocken, Pa., hosted by Colleen Magarity, are no ordinary showcase. This is where many of the nation's top Division I recruits come together to compete against one another, making every possession, every matchup, and every play meaningful. Standing out here isn't easy, but these midfielders did exactly that. These were the absolute biggest midfield standouts I saw from the Class of 2028 throughout the entire event. They have already built impressive accolades, broken records across the country, and then backed it up on one of the biggest stages in girls' lacrosse. Come September 1st, expect their phones to be ringing nonstop. Their futures are incredibly bright, and each of these athletes proved why they belong among the very best recruits in the nation.    [player_tooltip player_id='73022' first='Addison' last='Quinn'] was one of the top standout I saw at the entire Committed Games. Every time she stepped into the draw circle, it felt like the possession already belonged to her. I've never seen someone dominate the draw at this level the way Quinn does. After recording over 250 draw controls in a single season, it's easy to understand why she has become one of the most feared specialists in the country. She consistently places the ball perfectly above her head, snatches it out of the air with ease, and immediately finds an outlet to ignite transition. If the ball is anywhere in her vicinity, she's coming away with it.   The NJ.com Player of the Year and Championship Game MVP is so much more than an elite draw specialist. Offensively, she's an incredibly dangerous left-handed attacker who can finish equally well with either hand. Her length, athleticism, and offensive instincts make her nearly impossible to defend, and she only needs a sliver of space before ripping a powerful shot. Her vision is outstanding; she's an excellent distributor, and somehow she always finds a way to impact the game even when you think she's been quiet. She hunts the ball relentlessly, changes games in every phase, and is, in my opinion, one of the very best 2028 recruits I've watched.     Maddie Moran is everything you want in a complete two-way midfielder. Ranked as one of the very top recruits in the 2028 class, she plays with an explosiveness that immediately separates her from everyone else on the field. She's lightning fast from end line to end line, constantly sprinting through the midfield and blowing past defenders who simply can't match her speed.   Her stick protection through traffic is phenomenal, allowing her to weave through double teams while switching hands effortlessly without ever losing control. She's first to nearly every ground ball, attacks the draw circle with relentless effort, and consistently forces turnovers with her aggressive defensive pressure. Whether she's breaking down defenders off the dodge, leading a fast break, or hustling all the way back on defense, Moran impacts every possession. She has outstanding field awareness, tremendous hustle, and the rare ability to completely take over games in every phase. The way she moves with the ball, changes direction, and creates offense is simply special.     Grace Marquardt combines strength, skill, and toughness better than almost anyone in this class. The USA All-American and All-CNY Player of the Year finalist consistently powered through defensive pressure, refusing to let physical defenders slow her down. She attacks with tremendous confidence, using her strength to win matchups while creating separation through powerful dodges.   Marquardt's signature spin move is incredibly effective, and once she creates even the smallest opening, she has the ability to unleash a sidearm rocket from distance before defenders can recover. She's equally dangerous as a feeder, recognizing when help slides and immediately finding open teammates for quality scoring opportunities. On top of that, she's outstanding on the draw circle and attacks loose balls with relentless effort, scooping up ground balls seemingly everywhere on the field. Her complete game, physicality, and offensive creativity made her one of the premier midfielders at the showcase.     Claire Kimel is the definition of a complete two-way midfielder. A left-handed athlete with outstanding size, speed, and length, she covers an incredible amount of ground with long, effortless strides that make her a force in transition. Her quick movement, elite stick protection, and ability to stay composed under pressure allow her to excel regardless of where she's positioned on the field.   Kimel consistently wins possessions, battles through contact, and creates momentum for her team. Defensively, she's exceptional, communicating well, sliding at the perfect time, and making smart decisions in transition and during clears. Coaches trust her with the ball because she makes the right play time after time. Whether she's defending, pushing transition, controlling the draw, or contributing offensively, Kimel impacts every phase of the game and proved throughout the Committed Games why she's one of the nation's top all around midfielders.     Shea Willson more than proved she belongs among the nation's elite by consistently showing up against the biggest competition throughout the Committed Games. Competing with some of the strongest teams in attendance, she never backed down and made an impact in every area of the field.   She's a physical, high-energy midfielder who fights for every possession and refuses to quit until the ball is secured. On the draw circle, Willson battles relentlessly and consistently comes away with contested possessions, even against taller opponents, thanks to her timing, athleticism, and determination. Defensively, she plays disciplined, aggressive lacrosse with constant communication, active feet, and excellent awareness.   Offensively, she's an explosive dodger with a sharp jab step that consistently freezes defenders before attacking downhill. She loves shooting low bouncers and has an outstanding feel for placing shots where goalkeepers struggle to reach them. Whether she's attacking, defending, competing on the draw, or creating momentum through hustle plays, Willson's relentless motor and complete skill set made her one of the most impressive midfielders throughout the showcase.
