Marquardt is one of the best draw takers in the Class of 2028. In her game against Midwest Black, she made an upfield cut on an 8-meter, caught the ball inside, and had a nice finish. Her creativity was on display in the same game, with a backhand shovel shot.

Grace Marquardt combines strength, skill, and toughness better than almost anyone in this class. The USA All-American and All-CNY Player of the Year finalist consistently powered through defensive pressure, refusing to let physical defenders slow her down. She attacks with tremendous confidence, using her strength to win matchups while creating separation through powerful dodges.

Marquardt’s signature spin move is incredibly effective, and once she creates even the smallest opening, she has the ability to unleash a sidearm rocket from distance before defenders can recover. She’s equally dangerous as a feeder, recognizing when help slides and immediately finding open teammates for quality scoring opportunities. On top of that, she’s outstanding on the draw circle and attacks loose balls with relentless effort, scooping up ground balls seemingly everywhere on the field. Her complete game, physicality, and offensive creativity made her one of the premier midfielders at the showcase.

Marquardt is an elite player. She is a tremendous feeder with a high IQ for the game. Her stick skills are top-notch. One of the best players in the Class of 2028, and she is only getting better.

Marquardt is ready for the college level. She loves to fight through contact on her dodges, loves the physicality, and can dodge through a double or triple team. The Upstate N.Y. product is fast, explosive, and strong. She gets downhill easily and will rip the ball. Marquardt has a nice on-the-run shot and can shoot the ball from distance. On the draw, she is very successful. In her freshman campaign at Skaneasteles (N.Y.), she finished with 227 draw controls. Looking forward to the collegiate level, she could be an offensive midfielder running out of the box. She could play attack or be that offensive midfielder. Marquardt can also play on the goalkeeper’s right side. She has a lot of potential and upside.
