Early Access: Pennsylvania’s Emerging 2030s

The Class of 2030 has looked as advertised early, and it appears to be another group loaded with talent from top to bottom. With many of the class's top names residing right here in Pennsylvania, I wanted to take a look at six 2030s from the Keystone State who have begun to separate themselves from the pack. A 5'9" freshman equipped with elite athleticism and a level of confidence that elevates everyone around her. Her height and commanding presence in the cage make shooters hesitate and second-guess their shot, giving Morgan that much more time to react. She can launch a 30-yard clear on a rope to a teammate or take it out herself when she needs to. A one-of-a-kind ball stopper who makes highlight-reel save after highlight-reel save. Morgan will take her talents to the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur for her sophomore year and has a strong case for best goalie in the class of 2030. Look out for Morgan; she is a special player.     [player_tooltip player_id='75925' first='Morgan' last='Betz'] is must-see TV. An electrifying and sometimes unorthodox player on the offensive end, she loves to take a running start behind the draw circle and time the ball to explode past defenders and dig up ground balls. But what has begun to separate Betz is her ability to find angles through contact. She has a knack for finding space to rip through tight coverage and can take over a game regardless of the defensive look thrown at her. She has a ton of flash in her game, but it is her fundamentals that allow her to get in position to make those plays. Hard cuts away from the ball consistently get her open looks at the cage, where she is not shy about letting a behind-the-back fly when its there.     From Nazareth, Pennsylvania, [player_tooltip player_id='74140' first='Sara' last='Stouffer'] is a shifty two-way midfielder. Extremely quick in transition between the thirties, she has a natural feel for contact coming from behind and around her, dipping and ducking checks as she knifes through defenders. Not bouncy or twitchy in the traditional sense, but rather exceptionally shifty and elusive in her movement. Very hard to keep track of in transition and with the ball. She plays with a lot of firepower offensively, able to rip it from distance with both hands and above average shot speed for her age. The kind of player defenders are reluctant to switch off, creating opportunities for teammates in the process.     [player_tooltip player_id='73827' first='Olivia' last='Oldt'] is another Pennsylvania goalkeeper who has shown a lot of potential early on. Strong fundamentals in the cage keep her in position to make a play at all times. She stays squared to shooters and cuts off angles well. She has super quick hands and uses all parts of her body to make saves. She plays with a ton of confidence in the cage, not shy about stepping up in her arc to dig up a ground ball off the turf or getting out of her crease to beat the defense on the runout. The fundamentals are there for her to be a really solid goalkeeper at the next level, and she certainly looks like one of the more composed and developed goalies in her class. Look for her to be a three- or four-year varsity starter at Northwestern Lehigh.     [player_tooltip player_id='76009' first='Adrianna' last='Anzalone'] is a tenacious defender with elite footwork. The true definition of a shutdown defender, she completely eliminates a team's number one scoring option from a game. She will match up out wide with anyone and does not need to incessantly lunge or check at the ball, relying instead on her footwork to match step and overwhelm her matchup. Physically strong, she uses that strength to dictate the direction and pace of her assignment at will. She has shown the ability to dominate in the clear as well, giving her real upside as a defender or defensive midfielder in the years ahead.     [player_tooltip player_id='73589' first='Madelyn' last='Kreszswick'] has shown the makings of a future star. An ambidextrous attacker without a weak hand, defenders have no reliable way to shade her. She dominates from "X," quarterbacking the offense with well-placed passes that consistently turn the defense and put cutters in position to score. Pass-first by nature, she can pick apart any defensive look from behind the cage, but she is equally capable of taking her assignment 1v1 and getting to the cage when she needs to create. A crafty finisher whose strength with both hands allows her to find the back of the net in some creative ways. The feel for the game is evident the moment you watch her play.
