NYS Championships: Standouts Part 3

She kept her team in the game vs Huntington. Lee had great back-to-back saves on the doorstep. She read a nice high-to-low bouncer that she stopped with her foot. The goalie had another incredible save with her glove. The Rutgers commit can pull the trigger from the outside. On defense, she had a great over-the-head check and strip. She's really good at self-draws and has very quick hands. Plays with a ton of energy. She is one of the leaders on this Nyack (N.Y.) squad that made it to the state semifinals. Really amazing vision. She was playing defense on one possession, and she laid out a player and scooped up the ground ball. Gilbart has a great step-down shot. Coming in off the circle, she makes great reads. She is going to have a high ceiling in college and great potential. The Cornell commit can get downhill and score. She has a missile of a shot. Her on-the-run shots down the alley are really special to watch. Give her time and space, and she will make you pay. Her step-down shot is uber impressive. She gets doubled hard. She will get doubled in college, too. Buffardi stays comfortable in those situations and will work her magic to find her open teammate.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
