Sadie Manger was one of the best playmakers on the field this weekend, and more than once did she make a jaw-dropping play that had multiple coaches reaching for their iPads to take notes. Such was the case when she was driving in from the left wing, had the ball stripped, and with it sitting just outside the crease, Manger flipped her stick and swatted it in like a field hockey shot off the ground. But it was also her dodges and ability to create space that stood out. Manger is a crafty, bouncy dodger with a deep bag, doing an excellent job of dragging her toe and separating from her defender to get topside or drive downhill. Her split dodge and face dodge are well-timed and precisely executed, and she knows how to pick her spots accordingly.

Manger’s deception is unreal. She can act like she is passing the ball and then take it to the rack. Her vision is elite, and she finds open cutters. Defenders have a hard time playing her 1v1 straight up because she is explosive, has super quick feet, and blows by defenders. A really special player that is going to have success on the big stage.

Manger is a quick, explosive, and crafty dodger who gets to the goal. She has a variety of dodges that she showcases. The attacker has the ability to re-dodge her defender after her initial dodge and will successfully get to the goal. She can dodge anywhere on the field. Manger turns the corner quickly, and her change of speed and direction is lethal. She has quick feet and a quick first step. This 2028 class has great offensive initiators. Manger is up at the top of the list with the best of them. She creates slides and causes the defense to move and rotate. Manger has a powerful shot that she can get off quickly. Her ability to finish with defenders closing in is next level. She feeds the ball well and can work off-ball. Looking into the future at the college level, Manger will make a great college attacker.
