Riley Davis showed why she’s already considered one of the premier midfielders in the country. Davis played with the confidence and composure of an upperclassman all weekend. Her 1v1 defense was outstanding, constantly forcing attackers into difficult situations before stripping the ball away or forcing turnovers with perfectly timed checks.

While her defensive play stole the spotlight, Davis is far from one-dimensional. She’s a dangerous offensive threat who attacks with confidence, using quick split dodges to create space before ripping accurate shots or drawing double teams and finding open teammates through the 8-meter. She’s also a major contributor on the draw and excels in many ways for her team. Her athleticism, stick skills, and complete game made her stick out as one of the most impactful midfielders in the committed class.

The Northwestern commit gets off her shots quickly and can sting corners. She made a great over-the-head check in her game against Niagara/Union. In her game against Louisville, her dodges were very effective, and she drew slides. In the same game, she had a really nice on-the-run ripper that painted the top left corner. The midfielder from Maine attends high school at Holderness School (N.H.) and club for Laxachusetts.
