About Mollie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A versatile, coachable playmaker with strong stick skills, I’m comfortable at both low and high attack and can step into midfield or draw when needed. As offensive captain of my elite team, I’ve honed my leadership and strategic skills which help me to read the field well. I am a strong cutter, which folks say is my strong suit.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I pride myself on being coachable, hardworking, and team-oriented. I’m very competitive, love to win, and always strive to contribute in any way I can for my team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

yes, I'm in the Unified club at school, helping the disabled in gym class and encouraging them to do the best they can. I'm also a Peer Leader at my high school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As the coach for the 5-6 grade girls youth lacrosse team in Montgomery, NJ, I have developed an understanding of how girls learn to play sports, what motivates them, and how to lead them to be successful. I love helping them grow into strong players, and the best part is they will be playing with me on the HS field, when I'm a Senior and they are Freshman.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

yes, on and off the lacrosse field. On the field, there are times when I haven't made a state team, or someone else has gotten the starting spot. I've learned to overcome that be working hard, and realizing there are plenty of opportunities to grow and get better. Off the field, I have dyslexia, which challenges me to work harder to be successful.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm interested in a college because of its strong balance of academics, athletics, and hands-on learning opportunities. I also would like a close-knit campus community and the supportive environment for student-athletes.
