About Kristen

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a left handed defender and draw specialist who plays physical aggressive defense. I am a scrappy defender with exceptional instincts who reads the game a step ahead, anticipates plays, jumps doubles, executes timely back checks, and forces turnovers, making me a tough matchup for attackers. I compete hard for possession on the draw circle. I am coachable, competitive, & driven to improve.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a team first player who loves to compete with the best. I am coachable and love working hard to improve my game and help my teammates get better each day.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I belong and serve on the New Hampton Student-Athlete Advisory Council, Bring Change to Mind, Council on Representation and Equality, and I am a Morgan's Message Ambassador.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I love working with younger players to help them gain confidence and become stronger players. I am active in the New Hampton School Student-Athlete Advisory Council. I have volunteered at Tom Gould's Challenger Sports in my hometown, Peabody.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I've faced as a young high school student-athlete has been learning how to balance academics, athletics, and my personal life. Managing my time effectively has been essential so that I can perform well both in the classroom and in my sport. I’ve learned how to stay organized, push through difficult days, and remain committed to my goals.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that challenges me both academically and athletically. I want a school with strong academics where I can push myself in the classroom, but also a competitive women's lacrosse program where I can continue to grow as a player.
