About Julia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a very strong crease attacker who is most comfortable playing from X. I can use my height and weight to my advantage to effectively crease roll but I also love being the QB of the offense. There is a great feeling being the one who can thread the needle to a teammate for a clutch goal.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a very confident person. I enjoy being a good teammate and helping others around me succeed playing this game I love so much.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Leo’s Club, Morgan’s Message, Best Buddies, class president, president of National Junior Honor Society

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I was voted a team captain this year as a junior which I'm very proud of. I also volunteer monthly at events throughout Central MA on behalf of the Boylston Lions Club as a Leo. Being a leader has taught me to always be the one to set the good example. Good things come when you do the right thing.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, the summer of 2024 was incredibly tough for me. I was dealing with nagging ankle injuries and my play was not what I wanted it to be. I struggled with performance anxiety and my mental health was definitely impacted. I sought out a sports psychologist and that helped a lot. Because of this, I became a Morgan’s Message ambassador.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’ve committed to UConn. It’s a perfect fit for me.
