The Predators goalie made a crazy opposite-stick save off her thigh in one of her games. Fodeman drops low quickly and can come out of the goal to get a ground ball. She is comfortable coming out of the goal, which adds to her overall resume. Her outlet passes are accurate.

Another one of my favorite goalkeepers to watch on Monday was New York’s Harper Fodeman. The 2030 from the Big Apple was one of the most athletic goalies I saw all day, with the big-play ability to rob attackers of would-be goals with saves most goalies can’t make. She gets to the ground in an instant, and while attackers often try to shoot over the top because of her smaller frame, Fodeman plays much bigger than her size suggests. She came up with some big-time stuffs inside the dome early in the day, taking away goals that looked all but certain. Like Spellman, she is economical in the cage and never looks jittery, keeping her eyes locked on the ball. She steps confidently to stick-side shots and makes sound decisions on the clear. Fodeman plays with plenty of energy and fire, and her love for the game is evident every time she steps on the field.
