Khey is the type of well-rounded defender that any college program would benefit from having on their roster. As a lefty, she brings a different look to the defensive end, and her ability to adjust her stick positioning based on an opponent’s movement is particularly impressive. She applies pressure intelligently, closes space quickly, and uses her stick to make attacking players uncomfortable without sacrificing her positioning.

Her defensive awareness allows her to contribute in several roles, including as a backer in a zone defense. Khey recognizes when to slide, closes effectively on double teams, and is willing to put her body on the line to stop a scoring opportunity. She also handles contact well, secures ground balls, and makes smart decisions when clearing. Her combination of quickness, defensive IQ, and versatility makes her an exciting prospect for college coaches.
