About Emma

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a tough, gritty two way midfielder. I play club for Salt City Snipers 29 Pink and I play High School for West Genesee Sr High School. I never give up and hustle 100 percent of the time. I play tough defense and am constantly looking to make my teammates better and will do whatever it takes to make my team successful. I do not play selfish and always look to make the extra pass.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am always focused on trying to make the next play to make my team and teammates successful. I try to be a leader and always positive. I am extremely competitive and do not like to lose and will give my all for the whole entire game, no matter the score.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I volunteer for my church food pantry and will be volunteering at the hospital in my community this summer as part of a job shadowing/teen volunteer program.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been captain of multiple school teams and I take that position seriously. As a student athlete I have learned how to be positive and encouraging to my teammates and to always lead by example through hard work and never giving up. Being part of a team has helped me understand that success comes from everyone on my team and that if everyone works together, then the team will be successful.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have loved playing sports since I was in 1st grade. I have always had fun and met some of my best friends through playing sports. One challenge I have faced is that as I grow older and play higher level competition the pressure and level of play increases. It has definitely been a learning experience for me. I have to learn how to stay confident and positive and persevere through mistakes.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a 4 year college that meets my academic needs first and foremost! I want a college that meets my academic needs and also will allow me to play lacrosse! It is very important for me to find a school where I feel comfortable with the coaches, players and school atmosphere.
