Wright is one of the most complete players in this group and has the versatility to impact nearly every area of the field. Defensively, she brings tremendous strength and aggression to 1v1 matchups, battles relentlessly for ground balls, and frequently gets her stick on feeds intended for cutters. Once she gains possession, Wright immediately becomes an offensive threat. She can power through pressure during clears, take the ball coast to coast, and finish when a fast break opportunity presents itself. She also contributes on the draw and has the skill to dodge, shoot, and even pull out a jump shot offensively. Wright has all the tools to develop into an outstanding two-way or defensive midfielder at the college level.

Wright is an active communicator who is loud and vocal on defense. She is athletic and a good two-handed clearing defender. On one possession, she ran the floor, exploded down the right alley, and ripped it. On defense, she is an aggressive 1v1 defender.

Wright is going to be a good defensive midfielder. She is an aggressive 1v1 defender. On the clear she will run over players if they get in her way. Wright fights and battles for ground balls. She is really strong. Wright can bull-dodge and run through players, which leads to goals. Long-term, I see Wright as a defensive midfielder who has the green light to go to the goal. If she gets a chance off a fast break, she goes to the goal. If she takes the ball over on the clear and an offensive midfielder goes back with her, Wright has the green light to pull her out and ISO her 1v1.
