Just when it seemed like Day Two was settling, Ohio’s Carson Bahl dropped a bombshell of an announcement just after 7:30 p.m. on the East Coast, announcing she would attend Clemson. Bahl, who ranked No. 9 in the country in Prep Girls Lacrosse’s recent rankings, is set to be a star on a team with championship aspirations. Emerging from a non-traditional hotbed, she has stood out at every event attended and is without a doubt one of the class’s best. When she arrives in Death Valley in the fall of 2028, she will be joining one of the nation’s most stacked rosters, including then-senior Alexis Spallina and juniors Brinn and Ava Findora. Clemson has now landed all three committed Prep Girls Lacrosse five-stars, tapping into Ohio to do it. Bahl could be the missing piece on a program with serious championship aspirations, and she arrives as one of the nation’s most dominant offensive weapons.

At 6 feet tall, Bahl already presents a matchup problem before you even get into everything she can do with the ball. The No. 7-ranked player in the Class of 2028  is incredibly explosive, and her 1v1 ability is lights out. She can throw in multiple dodges, come out of the dodge with a step on her defender, and immediately rip a sidearm shot into the top corners. What makes her even more difficult to defend is that she can do it with either hand. Bahl can shoot with legitimate power and accuracy with both her right and left, which is extremely rare at this age. Once she gets even half a step, she is comfortable letting it fly from distance and has the power to make those shots count. Her 8-meter shot is another major weapon, and she has the creativity and confidence to casually mix in behind-the-back finishes. Defenses cannot simply overcommit to stopping her either because she sees the open player when the slide comes. Her height, athleticism, and strength also make her a weapon on the draw and around the circle too. Bahl is the type of offensive player who immediately grabs your attention and keeps it; college coaches will have a ball with Bahl.

Nobody makes as many jaw-dropping plays as Carson Bahl. Looks like she is just having fun in the backyard sometimes with the kind of plays she makes. The 6’0″ Ohio native has one of the most complete games in the country. A towering player whose footwork consistently catches defenders off guard, she can take the isolation and beat her defender 1v1 consistently. Bahl is also an exceptional feeder, always looking for the drop-off pass as a result of the defensive attention she demands. She does things on the lacrosse field that look otherworldly, especially coming from a player who stands half a foot taller than most on the field. She had a nasty lefty roll back through traffic, finishing with her non-dominant hand for the goal. She followed it up with a lefty runner through traffic against Eagle Stix. Bahl is going to make an impact on day one at a top program in the country. No question about it.

Lots of college teams are going to want and recruit Bahl. She is a hard, strong, and fast dodger who breaks down her defender and explodes past them. Bahl has an extremely powerful shot and a nice step-down shot. At the college level, she can be a stretch shooter from the outside who reaps benefits in women-up opportunities. She is a great 1v1 dodger as well. If her team needs a goal at the end of the game, everyone can clear out, and Bahl can ISO her defender to get off a quality look. Her bag is so deep: she can dodge and score, dodge and draw a slide, work off-ball with cuts, feed the ball, shoot the ball on-the-run, shoot the ball with time and space, and finish inside. Bahl has a lot of upside for the college level.
