As a midfielder for Laxachussets, Cunningham is a playmaker on both ends of the field. She approaches defense tactfully, but aggressively, and is not afraid of creating opportunities for caused turnovers. She has good defensive positioning and skillful checks, but it’s her speed that carries her through transitions.  On attack, Cunningham is constantly aware of her lanes and will drive directly to the cage, exploding off the 8-meter. Her field sense and commitment to plays create scoring opportunities, whether it’s staying aggressive on the ride or finding an assist opportunity.
