About Ava

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a low/elbow lefty attacker with great field vision and a high lacrosse IQ. I am able to feed to teammates while dodging and get to goal quickly.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I strive to be the best that I can be and use setbacks to fuel my love for the game. Every time I step on the field I am looking to win and to create the best opportunities for my teammates and myself possible.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was apart of NJHS in middle school. I also was in student council, honor roll student, and revived student of the month. I have also received Team Academic All State as a freshman.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed a strong sense of leadership since I was very young. Leading others to a goal has always been a gift that I have used to help others. I have been apart of volunteer organizations that have shown me how putting a common goal above yourself encourages others to do the same.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced several injuries that have been tough on my mental health. I have had a back fracture, high ankle sprains, and hyperextended knees just to name a few. I have also faced mental hurdles that have caused some significant problems. Overall, I was able to learn from all of these things and used them to better myself as an athlete and human.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a competitive lacrosse program in the Division 1 or 2 level. I also would like high academics and a great team culture. I would love a good coach-to-player interaction and an uplifting atmosphere. I would love supportive teammates and girls who want to hang out together outside of lacrosse.
