Adding to the long list of Darien standouts from Sunday, Olivia Morici Olivia Morici 5'5" | Defense | Right Hand Darien | 2029 CT is a shutdown defender in every sense, and one of the better ones I’ve seen this busy fall. She plays a smothering, aggressive style of defense that wears her assignment down physically and mentally. That was especially true in open-space 1v1s on Sunday. She looked more impressive with each passing rep. Morici flies around the field defensively, sliding with ill intent to pick up and knock dodgers off their line. The CT Grizzlies have quietly assembled one of the more impressive 2029 teams. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them knock off some top-10 and even top-five clubs this fall and next summer. Morici will be a big reason why.
