A Tappan, New York, product who plays her club lacrosse with Connecticut-based Primetime, Savvy Guinto was an electrifying player to watch Saturday. Her combine numbers alone turned heads: she finished second in the broad jump, third in the 5-10-5, fourth in the 30-10 fly, and seventh in the 5-10 fly across all age groups. She followed that up with an equally impressive afternoon in game settings. Guinto is a true transition catalyst, winning ground balls and quickly pushing the field. She is also a smooth ball carrier who is difficult to match up with in open space and can initiate a dodge from virtually anywhere on the field. Defensively, she closes down the 8-meter arc aggressively, challenging attackers driving toward the cage. Guinto has the athletic profile to attract significant interest from high-level Division I programs, and I don’t expect her recruitment to last long once September 2027 arrives.
