2028 Attackers: College Coaches Will Be Calling

The Class of 2028 is loaded with offensive talent, and these attackers continued to stand out time and time again throughout the summer. She uses a stutter step into multiple quick changes of direction, and the second she switches hands, her first step allows her to explode past her defender and attack the cage. Her fakes around the goalie are just as effective, making her extremely difficult to handle 1v1. Fanos is also patient enough to stop, read the defense, and re-dodge when the first opportunity is not there. She weaves through defenders with great stick protection, plays comfortably with both hands, and continues to rack up well-deserved accolades. At 5'6", she plays bigger than her size and has all the tools to become an impact attacker at the next level.     Wallace is a powerful, athletic attacker whose hustle immediately separates her. Her footwork is sharp, and she sells her fakes extremely well, including a hitch into a quick roll dodge that consistently creates separation. Wallace attacks her dodges aggressively and has the power and accuracy to consistently place shots into the top corners. She brings that same intensity outside of settled offense, hunting down ball carriers, getting back checks, and winning ground balls to create extra possessions. After leading Walton High School in scoring and ground balls as a sophomore captain, Wallace finished the season with 64 goals, 22 assists, and 37 ground balls while earning Offensive MVP honors. She is a 2028 recruit college coaches should be keeping a very close eye on.     Kang is incredibly fast, shifty, and creative, making her extremely difficult to stay in front of. Her agility and quick changes of direction allow her to create separation, and she has the confidence to turn that space into impressive finishes, including jump shots and sidearm releases. Kang is equally dangerous as a facilitator because her vision allows her to thread passes through tight spaces and hit teammates on a dime. She is comfortable operating around “X” and the crease, uses both hands extremely well, and understands how her off-ball movement can break down a defense.     Conroy is a gritty, smooth attacker whose left-handed ability immediately stands out. Her stick work is stellar, and she is extremely comfortable finishing in tight spaces, attacking within the 8-meter, and even mixing in the occasional creative finish. She pairs that skill with great vision and consistently sees open teammates when the defense collapses. What makes Conroy even more valuable is her effort without the ball. She is phenomenal on the ride, applies constant pressure, back checks hard, and aggressively hunts down ground balls to regain possession for her team.     Appleby is the type of consistent catch-and-finish attacker every offense needs. She understands cutting angles and timing extremely well, reads her defender, and uses her height to create separation and become an easy target around the cage. Once the ball reaches her stick, she can use multiple fakes to deceive the goalie before finishing. Her effort on the re-defend is another major part of her game. Appleby plays relentlessly, using her speed to chase down ball carriers and delivering back checks when the opportunity presents itself.
