Walters is a tall, athletic two-way midfielder who uses her size extremely well without relying on it. She is deceptive with the ball and incredibly persistent as a dodger. Walters will spin back, reset, and attack again until she creates the separation she wants. Her stick protection makes her even tougher to defend because she keeps her cradle high and away from pressure, making it difficult for defenders to get anywhere near her stick.

She is comfortable finishing with either hand and has the vision to recognize when a defense is loading up on her and safely move the ball to an open teammate. Walters is also a major presence on the draw and circle. She attacks balls out of the air at full speed and uses her height and athleticism to her advantage. Add in strong 1v1 defense, great clears, speed, and a high lacrosse IQ, and Walters has all the tools of a complete two-way midfielder.
