Alexandra Zrowka had a strong weekend on both ends of the field for her Yellow Jackets North club. She displayed an unwavering brand of physical defense on the ride, including one play where she rode her assignment up the left sideline for nearly 40 yards before poking the ball free and taking it the other way. She does an excellent job of using the sideline as an extra defender, and she is a player who brings her feet to the party on the ride — you will not see Zrowka throwing wild checks because she has the footwork to stay engaged and pick her spots wisely. Her offensive game was just as exciting. Zrowka’s mind is made up before she even receives the feed, and she displayed the ability to fire off a shot in the same motion as the catch — a quick-release that gives goalies almost no time to set.
