A strong, physical defender, English does a solid job holding down the back end, where her twin sister, Molly English, is usually found between the pipes. She is a vocal defender who does a nice job alerting her team to what she sees. She especially impressed this weekend in the transition game, standing her ground in 3v2 scenarios more than once.

She is still a little raw defensively with her footwork and ground balls, but makes up for it with tenacious defense that throws opposing offenses off their game plan.

A college program looking to bolster its back end could land both English sisters for the next four years, which seems ideal given how well the two work together.
