Better known as Jesse, Abigail Cargiuolo is a pure defender from northeastern Massachusetts. A relentless on-ball defender, her stature should not be underestimated; she is a feared defender often tasked with shutting down a team’s number one option. She is reminiscent of Syracuse’s Kaci Benoit in the way she flies around the field. Typically on crease patrol, she does a nice job of getting low and working “X” attackers wide when they try to make their move above GLE. A scrapper on ground balls with great straight-line speed, she gets to and digs up loose balls off the turf in a hurry. Cargiuolo is a player you can assign to shadow a number one scoring threat all game and watch her eliminate them from play. This name will not stay uncommitted for long.
