Juliet Nelson made the trip up from Virginia for PGL’s debut event on Saturday. A versatile righty midfielder, Nelson plays her club ball with Hero’s and her high school ball at St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C. She imposed her will in the 5v5 games, attacking the cage with authority and getting downhill to create offense for her team. Nelson sees the field exceptionally well, always looking for an open teammate once she draws the slide. She is just as effective away from the ball, using well-timed cuts to get open. Add in her work on the draw, and Nelson brings a little bit of everything. Division I coaches are going to want her.

Juliet Nelson is a remarkable true two-way midfielder. She uses her athleticism to blow by the ride and assist the attack, waiting to cut. She has a high understanding of how and when to cut herself, using her quickness to gain an opening. She understands how to place a shot in traffic and finishes with both hands. On top of it all, she’s a very strong draw taker.
