About Lucy

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a physical, aggressive defender who thrives in one-on-one matchups and team defense. I take pride in communicating, creating turnovers, winning ground balls, and disrupting opposing offenses. I enjoy playing from different defensive angles, backing up teammates in zone defenses, and using my speed and anticipation to make plays all over the field.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am highly competitive, coachable, and driven to improve every day. I bring energy and positivity to my team, enjoy being challenged, and embrace tough matchups. I strive to lead by example through my work ethic, attitude, and commitment to my teammates.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am the President of my school's One Love Club and serve as a Morgan's Message Ambassador. I am also involved in community service through coaching younger athletes in Fairfield's youth lacrosse program. Academically, I maintain a 4.4 weighted GPA while taking a rigorous course load that includes AP and honors classes.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through lacrosse, leadership roles, and volunteer work, I have developed strong communication, leadership, teamwork, and time-management skills. Coaching younger players has taught me patience and mentorship, while balancing academics and athletics has strengthened my discipline and accountability.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Balancing high-level academics, club lacrosse, high school athletics, leadership positions, and community service has taught me how to manage my time effectively and stay resilient under pressure. These experiences have helped me become more organized, adaptable, and mentally tough.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that offers strong academics, a competitive Division I lacrosse program, and a supportive team culture. I value a school that will challenge me in the classroom, provide opportunities for personal growth and leadership, and foster a close-knit community both on and off the field.
