She consistently impacted the game on both ends of the field, starting with her ability in the draw circle and extending into transition, riding, and defensive play. Cortese showed a strong motor throughout the event and repeatedly worked to regain possession for her team. Her versatility and willingness to contribute in every phase of the game made her a standout performer.

The midfielder plays good lockdown 1v1 defense and can drive her matchup out. She clears the ball well and makes good heads-up passes. Cortese can get ground balls and push the tempo. On offense, she has great vision. She can read slides and make the right play.
