About Evangeline

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a hard worker. I show up every time and am able to use my cross sport awareness to improve my game. I use every resource I have to make myself better and am never stuck in one style of play, especially when it matters most.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am extremely hard working, disciplined, and understanding. I am an incredibly social person and consider myself a very coachable athlete. I love working with new people and being open to learn.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a youth lacrosse coach at Orange Crush, a STEM special education summer counselor, a best buddies volunteer, full time babysitter for over 15 families locally, and the owner and developer of RecruitPath- a webpage and mobile app for student-athletes looking to get recruited.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a first time lacrosse player, I earned my spot as the varsity starter and used my skills to improve my teams game. I consistently volunteered through the program and participated every single day. I earned my title as rookie of the year, DVC honorable mention, and many other honors through my time here.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

After breaking my back in a volleyball related injury, my five year volleyball career was sadly ended. In an attempt to continue playing sports, my lacrosse career began. As I took advantage of the only thing I had left, I stepped into the crease and fell in love with the sport. I now plan to pursue collegiate level lacrosse and continue my passion for sports.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m incredibly interested at playing at the highest level and pushing myself to be the best player I can be despite my previous setback. I am open to learning about more collegiate level experiences.
