This past February, I had the opportunity to watch some elite recruits from three highly talented teams. These recruits spread across the field, from the offensive to the defensive side, with several Division 1 commits. Let's take a look at some of the best players in South Florida. Switter is an ultimate make-it-take-it when it comes to the draw against every opponent. Switter, using her height to her advantage, standing at 5 '10, is able to win the draw cleanly to herself and find a clean exit to possess the ball even while under heavy pressure from other opponents.   Switter makes her mark on the offensive side of the field, from going to a draw specialist to an outstanding midfielder with the ability to dodge down the alley or sweeping up top and finishing with an incredible shot on the run with precise accuracy.     Bella Virtue has a first step unlike any other. Virtue becomes a threat on offense, whether it's on or off the ball, or whether she has the ball or not. Virtue, with a little bit of space between her defender, is a mistake and will use that speed to her advantage. Bella Vertue brings the Virginia Cavaliers not only a great offensive presence but also great offensive speed for the Wahoos.   What makes Bella so talented is that she recognizes her opportunities of where to dodge, whether it's downhill or just right through the defense, and getting the shot off in a tight space. Bella doges with great confidence and great accuracy, hitting her target on the net.      Keith is simply a patient and aggressive goalie for Vero Beach. Keith's ability to come off her line and cut off a shooter's angle is incredible. Not only does Keith's aggressive play stand out, but her patience also stands out. Keith is a key factor when it comes to 8-meter attempts for the defense, as she makes no false movements before the shot, letting the play come to her. Maryville University is adding a key playmaker between the pipes with great patience and athleticism.     Meehan of Saint Andrew's is a dynamic midfielder and draw specialist who, throughout the game, demonstrated her excellent lacrosse IQ and ball control while driving Saint Andrew's offense by earning possessions and creating transition threats. The Scots are able to maintain strong control thanks to their ability to establish connections with teammates and generate early looks in the attack. Cornell adds one of the best women's athletes in the state of Florida, who can deliver plays from both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Her split dodge is lightning quick, and once she's past her defender, it's game over. Lexington's man-to-man defense is a problem to be solved as well. Zorumski shows great balance in her defensive stance and lets her opponent make the first move, allowing her to make great defensive decisions and plays. The Vanderbilt commit isn't just a two-way midfielder; she's a Swiss Army knife that can change the momentum of a game in the blink of an eye.
