About Mabry

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a high-energy defender with the speed to shut down fast attackers and the IQ to stay between my girl and the goal. I’m shifty enough to navigate tight spaces during a clear and confident enough to use both hands to get the ball out of the zone. I don't just want to stop the play; I want to win the ball back and turn it into a fast break.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m the teammate who’s always hyping people up and keeping the energy high, especially when we’re down. I take coaching and criticism seriously—if a coach tells me to fix something, I’m going to go out and do it better on the next play. My teammates know they can count on me for 100% effort and for picking them up when things get tough. I’ve been named our "Hard Hat" player three years in a row.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

For the past two years, I’ve been a leader for a middle school group at my local church, where I help mentor younger students. I also volunteer at Heartland, a store that supports families struggling financially. These experiences have taught me a lot about leadership and staying grounded, and I really enjoy being able to give back and support people in my community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’m a natural leader and my teammates' biggest fan. Whether we're up or down, I’m always the first person to pick a teammate up and make sure everyone feels included. My work at church and volunteering at Heartland has taught me how to communicate and stay vocal under pressure. I pride myself on keeping a positive headspace and pushing the team forward regardless of the scoreboard.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In 2025, I missed nearly a year of sports due to a back fracture. After battling through a failed four-month brace treatment and months of PT, I was sidelined for my club lacrosse and high school basketball seasons. Being forced to watch from the sidelines was crushing, but it taught me incredible patience and a new level of gratitude for the game. I’m returning to the field with a new outlook.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a large university with a high-energy campus and a competitive, tight-knit lacrosse program. Academically, I’m focused on pediatric medicine, sports studies, or psychology. After coming back from a major injury, I’m driven to study how the body and mind work together. I want to play for a team that holds everyone to a high standard while genuinely supporting one another
