Kaplan is a solid overall player who impacts the game in a variety of ways. She can defend 1v1 anywhere on the field and cause turnovers. Her positioning on defense is excellent. On offense, she can score and dish the ball. She has good feeds and good vision. Kaplan can take the draw or come in off the circle. When she drives, she can get past multiple defenders and get through contact. She can also shoot the ball with both hands. You could argue Kaplan is one of the best 2-way middies in the Class of 2028. She has the potential to be the best 2-way midfielder in the next two years.
