The first Clemson commit from the Class of 2028, Maura Beckwith, shocked the social media world with an announcement to the Tigers in the early afternoon hours of Day Two. Beckwith, who hails from Liverpool, New York, is a crafty lefty attacker who can also take the draw. A true quarterback of the offense with a great feel for the game, she can facilitate and thread the needle after drawing the slide or simply rip it from the eight-meter arc and twelve-meter fan. She has a lot of bounce in her dodges and is a dangerous weapon on the offensive end. A matchup nightmare 1v1. Clemson is getting a gem, one of the nation’s best, and she will make an early impact with the Tigers.

Beckwith’s stick skills and her IQ are extremely high. Her self-draws are a work of art. A true QB at the next level. She made a great feed from behind the cage and picked up an assist against Midwest Black. 

Beckwith is a lefty attacker out of Syracuse, N.Y., who does it all. She is a great feeder and has tremendous vision. The Monster Elite product can rip the ball when she shoots. She has different release points on her shot: overhand, side-arm, and underhand. The attacker can play anywhere on offense. She can play behind, up top, and over on the wing. Beckwith times her off-ball cuts very well. When she dodges, she turns the corner quickly. She rides hard, too. Beckwith will fight to get the ball back for her team. Beckwith is super valuable and versatile to a college team because she is so dominant on the draw, too. Her self-draws stand out, very successful and super quick.
